Beginner's Hump Day

Welcome to Hump Day at Hopkins!  Each Wednesday, CHEWonThis will write about sexual health to celebrate Hump Day.

To kick off Hump Day, we are excited to tell you (or remind you) about our Condom Sense Program.  This program allows you to order condoms online at a discounted price from the stores.  We sell a variety of brands, including Trojan and Durex, for $4.00/pack of 12.  To order, simply visit this site!

We also offer free male and female condoms and dental dams in our office located at Levering 115 and the Health Center offers free male condoms in their waiting rooms.  Just stop by and grab what you can. :)  (For the female condoms and dental dams- you just need to ask or check us out at Hump Day tabling to grab them-- they are not always out for grabs as easily, but we'll be happy to give them to you if you ask).

Happy (safer) Hump Day!

College Bound Essentials!

College Magazine listed the top 10 items that other students listed as essential for college.  What do you think of their list?

  1. Nail Polish Remover
  2. Super Glue
  3. Wite-Out
  4. Ear Plugs
  5. Band-Aids
  6. Power Strip
  7. Water Filter

Do you agree?

Since we're focused on your health and wellness at CHEW, we have a few of our own to add to the list:

  1. Any Prescriptions you are currently on
  2. A safe place for said Rx
  3. Laundry Detergent -- wash your sheets every two weeks to avoid getting sick
  4. Re-usable plate, mug, and silverware for your room
  5. Grab and go oatmeal that can be kept in your room (use your mug for cooking and transport!)
  6. Workout attire (though you'll get plenty of free t-shirts to sweat in)
  7. Sleep aids - a sleep mask, ear plugs, etc.  Your sleep is crucial!

What else will you be bringing to college to keep you healthy?
