Quit Tip from HKB: Was your New Year's Resolution to quit smoking this year? Most people tend to give up on their resolutions once February rolls around, but don't let that be you! The only thing you should give up- is the habit! The benefits of quitting are almost instant. Check out this timetable to see how your body is already improving with each puff you don't take! You can do it!

Mellow Out Monday: Has stepping back on campus already made your blood pressure rise? No need to start the semester off stressed. Take this week to get your schedule (and your life) organized and you may be in for a smoother semester. You can also let Stressbusters melt your stress away. FREE 5-minute seated back rubs are available every Monday night at the MSE library, Q-level from 8-10 pm.

Minimize Monday: Don't keep the refrigerator door open any longer than you need to.According to Home Energy Magazine, door openings account for 7% of your fridge energy use, while the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Florida reported that poor open/close habits (like leaving the fridge door open while you soak your bowl of Frosted Mini-Wheats with milk) waste 50 to 120kWh a year. That 50kWh of energy could run your dishwasher 20 times, and 100kWh could run your washing machine 50 times: that's almost a free load of laundry every week for an entire year.  So close the fridge door every time you're not directly taking something out of it instead of daydreaming with the door open.
